Within the framework of the GRETA project, the online video on "Gender Equality and Women's Rights for Building a Just and Inclusive Society" was developed with the co-funding of the European Union, Sweden, and Austria. The primary purpose of the course is to foster the understanding of complex issues concerning women's rights and gender equality, as well as the protection of gender equality in society and business sphere.

The Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), developed by the UN Women and the United Nations Global Compact, represent a pathway for companies to empower women's participation and advancement in the workplace and society.

By endorsing the Women's Empowerment Principles, a company leadership establishes business practices that enable women's empowerment.

Equal payment for the work of equal value, gender-responsive procurement practices, setting targets for representation, dismantling sexual harassment in the workplace, and other activities, including these and others, are undertaken by companies desiring to create such business practices and become the signatories of WEPs.

In addition to promoting gender equality, with the mentioned approaches:

  • The reputation of the company grows 
  • Productivity increases as the transparent remuneration policies motivate the team to work efficiently
  • Reputation risks diminish, as gender disparity prompts employees to assess and address reputational risks, including evaluating gender-based discrimination and acknowledging gender-based pay inequality, etc.
