The primary purpose of the course is to foster the understanding of complex issues concerning women's rights and gender equality, as well as the protection of gender equality in society and business sphere.
Child marriage is a manifestation of gender inequality and has a negative impact on the exercise of the rights of women and girls. Globally, girls are more likely than boys to experience child marriage, although occasionally, early and forced marriage also affects young boys
It is important to analyze the causes of early/childhood marriage, as well as the severe negative impact that early marriage has on the health and the later development of minors.

It is important to analyze the causes of early/childhood marriage, as well as the severe negative impact that early marriage has on the health and the later development of minors.
Awareness on the legal aspects of early/child marriage in Georgia will help us respond to the similar cases and prevent them further. However, there is a need to consider other important levers of prevention, such as the awareness raising campaigns on the harmful consequences of early marriages. Also, the necessity of improved access to education for girls, which later on contributes to the empowerment of women, their employment opportunities, freedom of choice, the possibility of active participation in society, etc. This allows girls and women to free themselves from various forms of coercion.
