Within the framework of the GRETA project, the online video on "Gender Equality and Women's Rights for Building a Just and Inclusive Society" was developed with the co-funding of the European Union, Sweden, and Austria. The primary purpose of the course is to foster the understanding of complex issues concerning women's rights and gender equality, as well as the protection of gender equality in society and business sphere.

Violence against women and girls is any gender-based violence that results, or may result, in the physical, sexual, or psychological suffering of women and girls. Violence refers to the threats, coercion, or arbitrary deprivation of freedom in public or private life.

It is important for the public to define the following forms of violence:

• Physical violence
• Psychological violence
• Compulsion
• Sexual violence
• Economic violence

It is also important to be informed on the basic aspects of the national legislation related to gender-based violence and domestic violence, and the basic legal protection mechanisms for the victims of violence and the services available to the victims of violence in Georgia.
